LO4: Film Trailer DRAFT 1

What went well:
We have started to add effects and things to our footages such as fading in and out
colour/brightness/contrast. This is to our trailer fit to the genre of horror.

What we could improve: 
What needs to be improved is the begining of our trailer as we have research other trailers and all of the trailers we watched jumped straight in to the footage before showing anyother titles.

How to improve:
We will make these improvements by adding footage before the title.

In todays lesson;
We will be watching other people film trailers to see how we could improve our own film trailer!

In todays lesson we have made the effect of a title glitch using a tutorial off YouTube to help us.

     

I have also found a glitch sound to add to the title screen which is copy right free

In today's lesson I have gone through the footage and kept all the useable footage which will help us when we start to edit as we can just use clips from this video.

-Doing some editing by putting the clips together and adding sound effects and music to the trailer.

In today's lesson I have tried to create more of a grainy effect on after effects, this is to make the self filmed footage in the trailer more realistic as if it was real life the footage would not be in HD.

What went well:
We spent a while filming this footage and this means we have alot of usable content.

What we could improve:
We didnt use a tripod to film any of this footage so to improve this we can retake the shot using a tripod for steadier and more blanced footage. We also could try using a range of different angles as we have filmed to many establishing shots.

What we are going to keep:
I will be keeping the shots of:
the two female actors holding the camera
one of the male actors creeping through a doorway
all of the actors walking down the stairs
one of the actors being locked in a room

In today's lesson we need to;
Take pictures of the location(s) we are filming at to add to our recce

LO2: What is shot log and edit log used for?

Shot Log - Shot log is to save time as it is complete whilst filming, this is done by taking notes on the good and bad shots used.

Edit Log - Edit Log is also to save time as it is also completing post-production before finishing Production.

Today I have finished the shot log for the first footage.

I have also uploaded the story boards to my blog. 

I need to complete the edit log also for footage 1.

1. I will complete the mise en scene analysis of my 5 chosen examples of music videos OR film trailers that I want to pastiche.
2. This will enable me to complete section C and D for LO1: Understand audio visual promos.
